Learn how to use a spoon

Here is an activity that works on the fine motor skill of spooning by getting the child to spoon rice from one bowl to the other.

This is also a great practice activity to begin teaching kiddies how to use the spoon so that it gives them the skills to feed themselves.

You will need:

Two bowls

Spoon

Tray if you have one for easy clean up if not you could do this activity outside.

Activity:

Get the child to scoop up some rice with the spoon, transfer it into the other bowl and pour the rice off the spoon.

Children may need some help doing this so you can put the spoon in the child's hand and then put your hand over your child's hand to guide the spoon.
