Edible Sand Have you a kiddies who like to explore and put everything into their mouth?... Here is an idea for you to try This sand is great as it is safe to eat if the kiddie happens to put it in their mouth but its also great if you are at home looking for an activity as you can use up the last of the cereal/biscuits in the press. You can make this kind of sand using Cheerios or digestive biscuits. Area: sensory play You will need: Cheerios cereal or digestive biscuits, blender and a tray. How to make: Put the items into the blender and blend until the items turn to a fine sand like texture. Empty the contents into a tray. It is now ready for the kiddies to play with. You can add some container to make sand castles and some shovels or spoons for scooping up the sand. Endless safe fun for the kiddies. Tip: Cut a black bag in half so its opened out fully, lay it on the floor and put the tray of sand in the middle of it for easy clean up. If your child does not like the texture of the black bag to lean on, use a bed sheet. It is just as easy to roll up and empty the sand off it outside. Have fun!
