Throwing by NumbersArea: Game, gross motor skills, academic, numeracyYou will need: balls (make by scrunching up tinfoil/wrapping paper/paper or tissue paper into balls), basket/box, some paper/card and a bowl.Preparation: Make 10 balls using any of the materials above. Empty a basket/boxCut paper/card into squares and write numbers 1-10 on the cardsHow to play: Put the basket/box out in front of the child.Put the balls together beside the child.Put the cards with the numbers on them into a bowl.Get the child to pick out a card for bowl.The child will then read the number and throw that amount of balls into the basket/box.You can increase the difficulty by moving the box/basket further and further away. May the best thrower win!
