    Game- Throwing by Numbers

    in Helping each other out

    Throwing by Numbers

Area: Game, gross motor skills, academic, numeracy

You will need: balls (make by scrunching up tinfoil/wrapping paper/paper or tissue paper into balls), basket/box, some paper/card and a bowl.

    Preparation:

Make 10 balls using any of the materials above.

    Empty a basket/box

Cut paper/card into squares and write numbers 1-10 on the cards

    How to play:

Put the basket/box out in front of the child.

Put the balls together beside the child.

Put the cards with the numbers on them into a bowl.

Get the child to pick out a card for bowl.

The child will then read the number and throw that amount of balls into the basket/box.

You can increase the difficulty by moving the box/basket further and further away.

    May the best thrower win!
